Orebro Castle in Sweden in Video Tour!

Orebro Castle / Örebro Slott is the natural and cultural hub of the city. It is the first tourists' attraction in Örebro and it lies in a beautiful location in the centre of the city surrounded by a moat filled sometimes with water lilies.

The castle is also surrounded in three directions by beautiful natural scenery and beautiful buildings that reflect the Swedish outstanding architectural expertises. The Slott is very clear in between three streets and an area full of trees, flowers and ducks called the Stadstradgarden.

The Stadstradgarden park is in the forth direction facing the entrance of Orebro Castle, stretching alongside the Svartan, a water channel; rather than a river, full of ducks and ending at the beautiful open-air Museum of Wadkoping Village.

So, it is obviously that there is no islet here. The headquarters of Orebro County was in the castle and since the 13 century, Orebro Castle has repeatedly taken the central place in the Swedish history. Gustav 1 the king of Sweden (1496-1560) stayed and spent most of his time in the castle during his reign.

He was born as Gustav Eriksson and was later known as Gustav Vasa. He transformed Sweden by centralizing the power and building an autocratic state. He became king in 1523 and founded Helsinki in 1550 to be strong trading centre in the area.

Orebro Castle was in the centre of politics and wealth during the period between 1600 and 1700 and the Swedish Constitution was first signed in the castle in 1617.

Monarchs dine sometimes and make their speeches from the castle and singers perform sometimes in the castle.

It takes efforts to climb from the stores down under the castle to the top and the stairs and the baths, although are secure, but fearful to some children.

There you see some exhibited items among them are beautiful paintings, video presentation, I tried hardly to record, but there were not enough lights and I didn't have flash.
