Beautiful Manolates Village!

Beautiful Manolates Village is a small village near Vourliotes on a higher altitude at the top of the mountain in a beautiful area north of Samos.

Forests of different trees, fruits and vineyards cover this mountainous area. From the heights, the valley of the Nightingales flows to the seaside village of Agios Konstantinos.

In addition to being one of the sources of the wines in Samos, this area is also a marble source since the fifth century.

The Nightingales among few other species of bird flock to the heights in this area adding to the nature lovely scene for birds lovers to enjoy.

The musical sounds of the waterfalls, the soft sound of the wind among the trees and the sound of the birds make Manolates Village a paradise.

Mount Ambelos is also good site for hiking and other adventures among the slopes and down to the valley and it has scenery view to the Aegean Sea, greenery and beautiful sites in the region.

There are few restaurants in this small village compared to big villages like Samos. Individuals in Manolates Village perform traditional Greek music and dances sometimes in cafés and restaurants.

There are narrow pathways between the traditional Greek stone houses, but trees and flowers are everywhere. Beautiful Manolates Village is about 22.2 kilometres from Vathy, through Kampos, Avlakia and Kokkari and it takes about 29 minutes drive.
