Which of Kos Tourists' Attractions Attracted You?

Kos tourists' attractions are plenty. The ancient sites are among those tourists' attractions. However, the beautiful beaches and resorts of Kos are the most visited tourists' attractions in the island.

Some of the villages, especially the traditional villages have tourists' attractions, or are tourists' attractions in their own rights. The museums, ancient ruins and the variety of clubs make all together some of the tourists' attractions in the Island of Kos.

Beautiful Beaches of Kos Island:

The best beaches in the Island of Kos are on Kefalos Bay long way on the southeast. The beautiful beaches here are on beautiful long geologically curved coastline that stretches to more than 2 kilometres and is suitable for wind surfing and other water sports. Generally, the beaches are sandy and they have clear and turquoise waters.

Some of those beautiful beaches are near at the southeast of the capital city and other beautiful beaches are at the southwest. There are also some beautiful beaches at the central western coast and at the south of the island. Many of those beaches are sandy long beaches, while the rest are pebble beaches or there are some rocks on them.

Some of the beautiful and most visited beaches in Kos have many kinds of water sports, including windsurfing, water skiing and ground sports as volleyball, basketball jumping, tennis and running.

Many excursion boats run between those beautiful beaches and some other nearby beaches in the Island of Kos or in the near islets.

There are some twenty beaches in Kos, making the best of Kos tourists' attractions. Most of the beautiful beaches in Kos are along the curve of the southern coast of the island, where nine of the beautiful beaches and resorts in Kos Island stretch along that part of the island.

Those nine beautiful beaches start below Cape Agios Nikolaos and include, the Exotic Beach, the Magic Beach, the Sunny Beach, Markos Beach, Banana Beach, Paradise Beach, Camel Beach, Agios Stefanos Beach and Kamari Beach. Kardamena Beach is above Cape Agios Nikolaos.

Below those beaches at the edge of the south part of the Island of Kos are two beautiful beaches including Agios Theologos Beach.

Up from that part of the island along the southwestern coast is Limnionas Beach. Up from that beach to the north and almost in the central western coast is Mastihari Beach. Here are also some of Kos tourists' attractions.

To the north on this coast are Marmari Beach Resort, Tingaki Beach Resort and Lambi Beach Resort below Cape Ammoudia and near at west of Kos Town. Continuing the round passing Kos Town to the east, there are three beaches and resorts.

Kos Beach is before Cape Louros followed at the northeast, down the cape by Agios Fokas Beach, below Cape Fokas and Therma Loutra Beach. All of the four beautiful beaches on the northern part of the island are near Kos Town.

The main road runs form the beautiful Kos Town to the southwest, turns to the centre to Antimahia and continues to the southeast to run near the nine mentioned beaches on this area, which many people consider as the most visited of Kos tourists' attractions and then turns to the southwest to Agios Stefanos and Kefalos.

Many branches run from the main long road to Kos tourists' attractions in beautiful villages, ancient sites and beautiful resorts south of Kos Town and on the eastern part, the western part and the southern part of the Island.

Sub-roads, especially at the northern part of the island are quiet and good for cycling and driving motorcycles. They run through beautiful green fertile land that makes also one of Kos tourists' attractions.

The beautiful beaches of Psalidi, Therma Loutra and Agios Fokas are normally crowded beaches and all of them are about few kilometres from the beautiful Kos Town. There are hot mineral springs in the beautiful Therma Loutra Beach, which lies about 7.5 kilometres from the Town of Kos.

The beautiful Tingaki Beach is about 10.5 kilometres at the southwest of Kos Town. It is long sandy beach with wind surfing. Wind surfing and other water sports are also on the beautiful beaches of Lambi at the north of it and Marmari at the south of it.

From the beach of Marmari, some boats run between Kos and the Island of Pserimos. The beautiful Beach of Pserimos is on this island.

The beautiful Beach of Mastihari or Mastichari Beach is south of the harbour on the beautiful villages of Mastihari, almost on the central western coast. Many rooms, studios, apartments and hotels are on those beaches or near them. See beautiful Kos towns and beautiful Kos hotels.

All the beautiful beaches on the stretched coastline at the huge Bay of Kefalos have signposts that lead to them from the main road. Some people reach those beaches by cycles and motorcycles.

Some of those beautiful beaches have descriptive names, but not names by places, such as paradise, exotic and sunny. However, the other beautiful beaches take the names of places and people.

The beautiful Paradise Beach is more crowded than the other beaches. The beautiful Banana Beach is called also Langada Beach.

Agios Stefanos Beach is below a church by the same name and above Kamari Beach. Those two beaches are near Kefalos Town.

Many boats run from Kamari to Nisyros Island taking people who visit Kos tourists' attractions to other tourists' attractions in the surroundings of the Dodecanese group of islands.

At the southern edge of the Island of Kos are two beaches. One of those beaches is Agios Theologos Beach with its white sand and beautiful views, at the sunrise and the sunset, in that rugged part of the southern peninsula. It is about 7.5 kilometres south of Kefalos. To some people this area has the best of Kos tourists' attractions.
